Botanical names for the NACSW Essential Oils are:

  • Sweet Birch (Betula Lenta)

  • Aniseed (Pimpinella Anisum)

  • Clove Bud (Eugenia Caryophylatta)

Botanical names for the AKC Essential Oils are:

  • Sweet Birch (Betula Lenta)

  • Aniseed (Pimpinella Anisum)

  • Clove Bud (Eugenia Caryophylatta)

  • Cypress (Cupressus Sempevirens)


Botanical Names of the UKC Essential Oils are:

  • Sweet Birch (Betula Lenta)

  • Aniseed (Pimpinella Anisum)

  • Clove Bud (Eugenia Caryophylatta)

  • Myrrh Oil (Commiphora Myrrha)

  • Vetiver Oil (Vetiveria Zizanoides)

There are other sanctioning bodies which may use other scents, though they are not significantly active in the Pacific NW at this time. If you are considering entering a trial with one of these organizations please check their rule book to ensure you have introduced your dog to the needed odor.
